Acer cappadocicum — Cappadocian Maple

A fairly common amenity tree, introduced in the first half of the 19th century.

The opposite leaves are similar to those of Norway Maple, but untoothed. Flowers are yellow and erect and appear with the leaves in spring. The winged fruit are widely spread from one another, but less than 180 degrees.
