Calocedrus decurrens — Incense Cedar

A rather uncommon evergreen introduced from America in the mid-19th century.

British trees grow tall and narrow. The false cypress-like leaves have a distinctive stretched look to them. The cones are initially rugby-ball shaped, later peeling back from the top.
