Cedrus libani — Cedar of Lebanon

Introduced in the mid 18th-century and soon an essential feature of every country mansion.

Mature trees are unmistakeable, with large horizontal plates of foliage. The needles are intermediate in length between those of Atlas Cedar and Deodar.
