Ilex x altaclarensis — Highclere Holly
A fairly frequent 19th century hybrid.
The leaves are thick, much larger, and with fewer spines, than those of Common Holly. The fruit is similar to that of Common Holly.There are a number of cultivars, such as the variegated ‘Golden King’.
