Koelreuteria paniculata — Golden Rain Tree
An uncommon but increasingly frequent mid-18th century introduction from the Far East.
The alternate pinnate leaves have very distinctively shaped leaflets. The foliage is smothered by plumes of yellow flowers in summer, which give rise to Physalis-like seed-cases.
