Laburnum anagyroides — Common Laburnum
An early introduction from southern Europe, being slowly superseded by Voss's Laburnum.
The alternate pinnate leaves have three leaflets. The strings of hanging flowers, which appear in spring are in shorter, dumpier strings than those of the other two laburnums, and give rise to pods containing poisonous seeds.
