Salix cinerea — Grey Sallow
The subspecies oleifolia is a common native bushy tree.
The alternate leaves are narrower, smaller and more broken in outline than those of Goat Willow, and usually have scattered rusty hairs under the veins. The buds are somewhat flatter and smaller. The catkins are similar to those of Goat Willow but appear later.
Natural hybrids with Goat Willow are common.
