Sorbus commixta — Japanese Rowan

A fairly frequent late 19th-century introduction, often grown as the cultivar ‘Embley’.

The alternate pinnate leaves have leaflets which are more pointed than those of Common Rowan. The buds are long and pointed and can be somewhat sticky. The berries are orange-red.
