Crataegus laevigata — Midland Hawthorn
A common native bush or small tree, with a number of common cultivars.
The alternate leaves are shallowly lobed.
Cultivars include the red-flowered ‘Punicea Flore Plena’ and ‘Paul's Scarlet’ and the double white-flowered ‘Plena Alba’.
