Crataegus x lavallei — (Hybrid Cockspur Thorn)
A late Victorian hybrid, frequent in streets and parks.
The opposite leaves are long and glossy. The flowers are white with rather dark centres. The fruit is like that of Common Hawthorn but rather larger.
