Fraxinus pennsylvanica — Red Ash
An infrequent introduction from America in the late-18th century; the most common form is confusingly also known as Green Ash.
The opposite pinnate leaves are large and glossy, and there are a maximum of nine leaflets per leaf.
‘Variegata’ is a rare form, the largest white-variegated tree.
