Paulownia tomentosa — Foxglove Tree
An uncommon mid-19th century introduction from the Far East.
The huge opposite leaves resemble those of Indian Bean but are woolly on both sides. Erect heads of pale purple flowers, like large bluebells, appear at the end of spring.
