Abies grandis — Grand Fir

A 19th-century introduction, frequent in wetter areas, and growing very tall.

The leaves are long (to 5cm) and in flattened forward-angled ranks on each site of the shoot, and have two whitish bands beneath. The cones are relatively small, rarely exceeding 10cm.
