Trees of Lammas Land, Newnham, Cambridge
Lammas Land has so many different trees it's hard to know what to single out. Approaching from the north-east (Fen Causeway cycle crossing), you come to some fair-sized Italian Alder trees [IA]. Beyond them is a superb Copper Beech [CB]. In the south-west corner by Newnham village are a large number of Double Geans [D], a splendid sight in late March; beside Newnham road are several Cherry Laurels [La], proving that they are indeed trees when not trimmed into hedges!
