Quercus cerris  (Turkey Oak)TOSeveral young trees in the middle of Christ's Pieces; two large trees at the kink in Wulfstan Way [map]
Quercus coccinea  (Scarlet Oak)SOSeveral young trees of the ‘Splendens’ cultivar on the S side of Lammas Land
Quercus ilex  (Holm Oak)HOSeveral fine trees in Histon Road Cemetery; a large tree on the NE corner of the junction of Madingley Road with Lady Margaret Road [map]; a particularly imposing tree just N of the junction of Church Lane with Cambridge Road in Girton [map]
Quercus petraea  (Sessile Oak) Uncommon in Cambridge: there are three fairly young trees 50-100m N of King's College back gate beside Queens' Road [map]
Quercus robur  (English Oak)OSeveral smallish ones on Jesus Green; there are many larger trees down the W side of Trumpington Road from Fen Causeway southward [map]; the fastigiate form f.fastigiata (Cypress Oak) is uncommon, but there is one beside Huntingdon Road, 50m W of Buckingham Road [map], and young street trees along the S side of Milton Road opposite the shops just before Arbury Road [map]
Rhus typhina  (Stag's-horn Sumach) Frequent as a garden tree, e.g. on the W side of Stretten Avenue near the S end [map]; the cut-leaved form ‘Dissecta’ is also found, e.g. on the W side of Brampton Road about halfway up [map]
Robinia pseudoacacia  (False Acacia)FACommon everywhere, especially on Lammas Land; the golden ‘Frisia’ cultivar is also common - there are three along the S side of the tennis courts on Christ's Pieces; there is a row of Mop-head Robinia (‘Umbraculifera’) along the E side of River Lane towards the N end [map]
